Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about our research peptides, storage, shipping, and documentation.
What are peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that are widely used in scientific and laboratory research. Researchers study peptides in a variety of fields, including molecular biology, biochemistry, and pharmaceutical development, to better understand biological processes and cellular interactions.
Are these products for research only?
Yes. All products offered by Zurich Rx are intended for laboratory research use only. They are not intended for human consumption, veterinary use, therapeutic use, diagnostic use, or use in food or cosmetics. Purchasers are responsible for ensuring products are handled and used in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
How should peptides be stored?
For optimal stability:
- Store lyophilized peptides refrigerated at 2–8°C (36–46°F) upon receipt.
- For extended storage, freezing at appropriate laboratory temperatures may be recommended depending on the specific peptide.
- Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
- Protect products from excessive heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.
Always refer to the product-specific documentation for recommended storage conditions.
How are products shipped?
Products are carefully packaged to help maintain quality during transit. Orders are typically shipped in insulated packaging when temperature-sensitive handling is required. Shipping methods and packaging may vary depending on destination, weather conditions, and the specific products ordered. Tracking information is provided when applicable.
How do I request documentation?
Documentation, including:
- Certificate of Analysis (COA)
- HPLC Chromatograms
- Mass Spectrometry (MS) Data
- Product Specifications
- Safety Data Sheets (when available)
can be requested by contacting our support team and providing the product name and lot number.
